Quebec immigration programs

The province of Quebec administers various immigration schemes that allow qualifying applicants to obtain permanent residency in Canada. The central government has bestowed upon Quebec a substantial degree of independence in formulating its immigration rules and processes. This is the reason why Quebec’s immigration initiatives are frequently handled independently from those of other provinces.
